A digital departure is an opportunity to gather and connect when it matters most.
A digital departure brings people together from anywhere in the world
When a loved one has died, and you’re prevented from holding a funeral, a digital departure brings family and friends together, online, to share their stories and to say farewell.
A digital departure can incorporate many of the elements of a physical funeral

A Celebrant, your Minister or be family led

Readings, prayers or poems

Photoshows, video clips and music

Online breakout rooms before and after the service where guests can catch-up and share memories

Eulogies and tributes from family and friends

Online tribute webpage where family and friends can upload photos and videos
How it works
- Step 1Connect01One of our team will meet with you, either by phone or online using Zoom, to explain how a digital departure works. We can liaise with your chosen Funeral Director or you can use one of our Funeral Director partners.
- Step 2Plan02We can work with you to plan the gathering, including organizing an MC, creating an order of service, collecting images/video, and planning eulogies, tributes, readings or prayers.
- Step 3Create the gathering03We create the Zoom gathering in advance so the link can be shared with family ahead of time. The Zoom gathering has its own password to ensure it stays secure.
- Step 4Day of the funeral04Using broadcast tools in conjunction with Zoom, we control the gathering to ensure it runs smoothly. We manage break-out sessions before the funeral, control media content and speakers, then manage break-out sessions after the funeral. We monitor behaviour and can block any disruptive participants.
